Computer technology has always been a passion of mine, and I’ve been deeply drawn to the world of computers since a young age. After high school, I knew that a career in tech was the path I wanted to pursue. My interest in programming and software development grew significantly during my time at university. I graduated in June 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Cyprus, and I’m currently advancing my knowledge as a postgraduate student in Computer Science at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. My focus is on honing my skills in critical thinking and problem-solving to address the complex challenges of today’s digital world.

At this highly competitive internship program with HF Markets, I joined the Quality Assurance Automation team, where I was introduced to Automated Web Testing. The internship gave me the opportunity to learn about automated web testing through the Selenium framework by writing Python scripts containing test cases about the company’s web applications. These tests were running inside Docker containers. I also learned how an automation server works as I was being assigned several projects on Jenkins. In addition, I created a project which was used by the QA team to manage the running containers. Through this script, the necessary containers’ procedures are executed by using docker commands in an easier and more efficient way.

This thesis developed an autonomous driving algorithm for a model vehicle, enabling it to navigate and perceive its environment without human intervention. By integrating sensors, actuators, and intelligent software, the vehicle followed a predetermined path while performing real-time fault checks, ensuring operational reliability.
